Today, I will be looking at all the books I read in 2020! Which were my favourites and which ones were flops? For 2020 (unbeknownst to me, the year that lay ahead) I made my Goodreads challenge 20 books as I knew this would be actually attainable and fitting with the year. I surpassed this challenge and in total, I read 26 books! A few months ago, I actually made a post where I tracked the number of books I have read the past few years and in another post, I discuss why I think the number has gone down…
This year was definitely one for rereading comfort faves…
Here are my 5-star books that I read this year! A post on Call Down The Hawk can be found here. Being a fan of Oseman’s work it was only fitting that I finally read her highly praised webcomic/graphic novel series, Heartstopper. I loved it and recently it was announced that it is being turned into a Netflix show, so I cannot wait for that!
Read for school:
If I were to pick one, I’d say The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid was my favourite read for school. It stuck out to me with its unique narration that kept me on edge throughout the novel.
These books weren’t bad but, I think I had set high expectations (on me) which weren’t met when I read them and left me a little on the disappointed side.
Other books I enjoyed:
Read my review on Loveless here! And that’s all I read in 2020! Feel free to share what you read and most enjoyed in the comments below! It seems like I still have a never-ending reading list so here’s to hoping I can make a larger dent in it this 2021 🙂
